“Bibliothèque Nationale. Ich sitze und lese einen Dichter. Es sind viele Leute im Saal, aber man spürt sie nicht. Sie sind in den Büchern. Manchmal bewegen sie sich in den Blättern, wie Menschen, die schlafen und sich umwenden zwischen zwei Träumen”. [Bibliothèque Nationale. I sit and read a poet. There are many people in the hall, but you don’t feel them. They’re in the books. Sometimes they move in the leaves like people who sleep and turn over between two dreams.”] Rainer Maria Rilke, The notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge (Paris, 1910).

We have just uploaded the last update of the month,  in April we have referenced 3471 new titles, evaluating 246 new monographs and 126 volumes of periodicals. “Archaeological Bibliography” is updated constanlty at the end of every week. On Mondays, beginng your week,  we provide you with 500-1000 new bibliographical indications:  the result of the evaluation of the weekly changing new acquistions in the five important libraries for Classical Studies and Archaeology in Rome:
The German Archaeological Institute, the École Française de Rome, of the British School at Rome, the American Academy in Rome and of the Bibliotheca Hertziana.  In addition bibliographical work is done in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.

You want to know what’s new in Classical Archaeology? Have a look at the list of the recent publications below.  We now offer the list of monographs as pdf  to simplify the printout. The list of the new periodicals has been supplemented with links to the online editions of the respective journals – in addition to the links for the online resources. Any advice and suggestions regarding content will be highly appreciated: please mail to Dr. Martina Schwarz. Concerning technical support please contact info@dyabola.de.
