Where did the year go? Happy New Year! As we wrap up 2014, take a look back with us at 29017 new titles for the ‘Archaeological Bibliography”!

Holland House London (1941)

Looking back on 2014 we are filled with pride for what we have achieved and with gratitude for the support which has helped us to get there.  Our success, rooted in our continuous determination for accuracy, precision and promptness, is  in no small part a direct result of the support we have received from our valued clients. For the constant unwavering support of both our long-time clients, and those who only recently joined, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you. Without your  support and interest our work would not be possible!

Next year, we firmly promise, to reach 30.000 titles!

This has been a very productive year for the “Archaeological Bibliography”! We have supplemented the “Archaeological Bibliography”  – with 29017 new titles – once more the best result ever -. we added  ca. 6000 new links to full texts, we created new subdivions in the systematic tree, reopend subdivisions closed down in 1997, we are referencing more and more DOI-links – going towards a kind of fulltext database, nearly 700.000 titles overall,  over 30.000 keywords now…”Archäologische Bibliography” is exponentially growing!  And we are looking forward to a even more active 2015…

In the following table we present – same procedure as every year – an overview of our data input activity for the year 2014:

2014 Number of new titles
January           2753
February           2012
March           2927

July/August           3696
September           2912
October           2344
November          3102
December           1203
Total           29017

In the first two weeks of December we were able to gain 1203 new titles for the “Archäologische Bibliographie”. Below you will find the list of new monographs and periodicals which were referenced in the this month.  Just in time – right before the end of the year – three important journals of classical studies have been published. You will find them already referenced in the “Archaeological Bibliography” : The “Mitteilungen des Deutschen Archäologischen Institutes, Römische Abteilung 120, 2014“, the “Journal of Roman Archaeology 27, 2014” and the “L´antiquité classique 83, 2014“.

We offer the list of monographs as pdf to simplify the printout. You may examine the contents of the respective monographs and periodicals in the database by using the search option ‘title’ or ‘periodicals’ and by navigating to the ‘children’ of the chosen title. If you have any suggestions regarding content please mail to Dr. Martina Schwarz. Concerning technical support please contact info@dyabola.de .
