A bibliography even more richer in content !! We have evaluated the contents of 145 periodical volumes and 203 monographs in June aiming always for the most complete and accurate collection of information as possible. In these circumstances online-open access publications are a valuable source for your research, and became therefore more and more important for the “Archaeological Bibliography”. Tekmeria, Hormos, Phasis, Studia antiqua et archaeologica are only some of them.

The journal Tekmeria publishes scholarly articles pertaining to the study of the ancient world, with particular emphasis on Ancient Greek history, epigraphy, numismatics, topography and historical geography, and especially on the publication, republication or exploitation of epigraphic and numismatic materials.

The magazine ὅρμος, founded in 1999, maintains intact, in the new electronic way, the objective which have always guided the research and to which the title refers. With “port” we mean, in fact, not only the openings to wide-ranging topics on all aspects of the ancient Mediterranean world, but also the contributions of the younger generation of historical-ancient research in all its aspects.

Phasis publishes original contributions in all areas of Greek and Roman Studies, including literature, history, languages, philosophy, religion, art, and archaeology. The journal also welcomes submissions on the reception of the ancient world.

The journal Studia antiqua et archaeologica focuses on ancient history and archaeology and benefitted from the contributions of prestigious authors from Romania or abroad. Worthy of attention is that internationally-recognised scholars have accepted to be members of the editorial committee.

In June we have evaluated 203 new monographs and 145 new volumes of periodicals, gaining 2831 new titles for the “Archaeological Bibliography ”. Any advice and suggestions regarding content will be highly appreciated: please mail to Dr. Martina Schwarz. Concerning technical support please contact info@dyabola.de.

Below you will find the list of new monographs and periodicals which were referenced during the last month. We offer the list of monographs as pdf to simplify the printout. The list of new periodicals has been supplemented with links to the online editions of the respective journals – in addition to the links to the online resources. For the first time we have marked  – to simplify your research –  the open access journals. You may examine the contents of the respective monographs and periodicals within the database by using the search option “title” or “periodicals” and by navigating to the “children” of the chosen title.

With most libraries closed all around the world, Dyabola offers a chance to keep yourself informed about new research and publications concerning classical studies. Nearly all articles of periodicals referenced last month within the “Archaeological Bibliography” are identified with “DOI” or otherwise stable links, which will get you directly to the full text. Our intention citing DOI links is to create – in fact –  a sort of full-text-bibliography by links.  If you need a demokey for “Archaeological Bibliography”, please mail to m.schwarz@dyabola.de.

In May we have evaluated 214 new monographs and 116 new volumes of periodicals, gaining 2648 new titles for the “Archaeological Bibliography ”. Any advice and suggestions regarding content will be highly appreciated: please mail to Dr. Martina Schwarz. Concerning technical support please contact info@dyabola.de.

Dyabola keeps on working strong, with many libraries closed all over world, research through the World Wide Web is an important resource. Our intention of citing DOI links is to create a sort of full-text-bibliography by links. By clicking on the link in the bibliographical reference, a new window will be opened showing access to the full text.  You may access the doi  links to  contents liable to costs via the proxy-server of your University or Institution.
Nearly all articles of periodical referenced this month in the “Archaeological Bibliography” are identified with “DOI” or otherwise stable links. The list of the new periodicals has been supplemented with links to the online editions of the respective journals – in addition to the links for the online resources. For the first time we have marked  – to  facilitate your research –  the open access journals.

“DOI is an acronym for “digital object identifier”, meaning a “digital identifier of an object”. A DOI name is an identifier (not a location) of an entity on digital networks. It provides a system for persistent and actionable identification and interoperable exchange of managed information on digital Networks……The DOI system is designed to work over the Internet. A DOI name is permanently assigned to an object to provide a resolvable persistent network link to current information about that object, including where the object, or information about it, can be found on the Internet. While information about an object can change over time, its DOI name will not change. A DOI name can be resolved within the DOI system to values of one or more types of data relating to the object identified by that DOI name, such as a URL, an e-mail address, other identifiers and descriptive metadata” (From: doi Handbook. Introduction)

If you need a demokey for “Archaeological Bibliography”, please mail to m.schwarz@dyabola.de.

In April we have evaluated 202 new monographs and 138 new volumes of periodicals, gaining 2379 new titles for the “Archaeological Bibliography”. You will find the list of new monographs (also in pdf) and periodicals below as ever

In the face of difficult times: 2578 new titles in March. A list of 232 new monographs

April 2, 2020 by

____________________________________________________

The work of the “Archaeological Bibliography, Projekt Dyabola”  keeps on, like research does. Many libraries are closed. Those who have to work from home these days have nevertheless access to new publications. The World Wide Web is an extraordinary resource for gaining access to information of all kinds, including historical.

We twice have posted lists with links to online publications, which may be of interest. Your bibliographical research by means of “Archaeological Bibliography, Dyabola” gets you (in many cases) via DOI link directly to the full text. Our intention citing DOI links is to create a sort of full-text-bibliography by links.  If you need a demokey for “Archaeological Bibliography”, please mail to m.schwarz@dyabola.de.

2578 new titles to help you with your research! 232 new monographs and 74 volumes of periodicals have been analyzed. You will find the list of new monographs (also in pdf) and periodicals below as ever. The list of the new periodicals has been supplemented with links to the online editions of the respective journals  – in addition to the links for the online resources, or else to the contents of the respective journal. Any advice and suggestions regarding content – and subject-tree will be highly appreciated: please mail to Dr. Martina Schwarz. Concerning technical support please contact info@dyabola.de.
